The New York State Department of Civil Service’s Office of Financial Administration has contracted with JPMorgan Chase to provide banking services for NYSHIP and other benefit programs administered by EBD beginning on April 1, 2026.
NYSHIP Participating Agencies (PAs), Participating Employers (PEs) and direct-pay enrollees will be notified of the bank change as follows:
• PAs and PEs: Billing statements for May 2026 coverage (produced on April 3) will include a letter notifying PAs and PEs of the banking change and updated options for check and online payments.
• Direct-Pay Enrollees: Monthly direct-pay billing statements (produced on April 3) as well as biweekly billings dated April 14 (Institution) and April 21 (Administrative) will include:
o A letter notifying direct-pay enrollees of the banking change
o An updated envelope (salmon color) for enrollees who wish to remit premium payments by check to the new banking vendor
The notification will also include options for those looking to pay online.
Enrollees will also receive notification of the upcoming change with their February billing statement. Visit nyship.ny.gov in the coming months for more information.
