SUBJECT: 2016 Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) for PEF-represented employees
DATE: December 7, 2015
As a result of the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Public Employees Federation (PEF) and New York State, the Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) will be available to PEF-represented employees for 2016. The MOU provides that PEF-represented employees will receive the PEP credit retroactively for plan year 2016. It does not address plan years beyond 2016. PEF enrollees will be notified of this benefit by letter (see attached), as soon as practicable.
The PEP enrollment period for PEF-represented employees will be December 7, 2015 through January 8, 2016. For information regarding the PEP eligibility requirements or the calculation of PEP credit, Attendance and Leave will issue a Policy Bulletin with the enrollment form and program description shortly.
For instructions on how to process a PEP enrollment, the effective date of the 2016 PEP credit and how to address retroactive PEP credits, refer to HBA memo NY15-25.
