ARS Letters - Rule 5.9
Rule 5.9 of the Civil Service Law provide procedures for restoration to duty from a workers' compensation leave, termination of service upon exhaustion or termination of a workers' compensation leave, or reinstatement of service following termination due to a disability arising from an occupation injury or disease, for all state employees subject to Section 71 of the Civil Service Law.
According to Rule 5.9, notification is required to provide an employee of their terms and conditions of a workers' compensation leave. The notification letters within ARS are duplicates of the sample letters provided within Policy Bulletin #93-02 of Section 220 Separations and Leaves of the State Personnel Management Manual.
