Injury Detail
The Injury Detail page within Incident Data resembles the Detail page completed in Injury/Illness.
To update/correct the body part injured in the incident, click on Body Parts.
The Body Parts enter within Call Center can be updated/corrected by using the magnifying glass. The side of the body can also be changed.
To input additional body parts, click on the Plus icon.
Click on the magnifying glass under Body Part.
Enter the 1 to 4 digit Body Part Code, which can be found by referring to the Smart Codes section of this manual, and click the yellow Look Up button.
Or, as shown below, enter the specific body part in the Description field and click Look Up.
Click on the correct Description of the injured body part.
Select the side of the body in which the body part was injured.
Once every injured body part is listed, click OK.
To update/correct the nature of injury for the incident, click on Nature of Injury.
Click on the magnifying glass under Nature of Injury.
Enter the 1 to 4 digit Nature of Injury code, which can be found by referring to the Smart Codes section of this manual, and click the yellow Look Up button.
Or, as shown below, enter the specific nature of injury in the Description field and click Look Up.
Select the description that best identifies the nature of injury.
Click OK.
To update/correct the source of injury of the incident, click on Source of Injury.
Click on the magnifying glass under Source of Injury.
Enter the 1 to 4 digit Source of Injury code, which can be found by referring to the Smart Codes section of this manual, and click the yellow Look Up button.
Or, as shown below, enter the specific source of injury in the Description field and click Look Up.
Select the description that best identifies the source of injury.
Click OK.
To update/correct the accident type of the incident, click on Accident Type.
Click on the magnifying glass under Accident Type.
Enter the 1 to 4 digit Accident Type code, which can be found by referring to the Smart Codes section of this manual, and click the yellow Look Up button.
Or, as shown below, enter the specific accident type in the Description field and click Look Up.
Select the description that best identifies the accident type.
Check Primary Injury if the accident type is related to the primary injury and click OK.
Once your updates/corrections have been made, click Save.
