(October 19, 2021) - This document outlines Nature of Injury code (38) "Adverse reaction to a vaccination or inoculation", to identify claims that result in adverse reactions to vaccinations for COVID-19 and other diseases.
ARS Claims Management C-11 Updates
(February 3, 2021) - This document outlines the ARS C-11 form updates and changes to accommodate the WCB form C-11 "Employer's Report of Injured Employee's Change in Status or Return to Work" version (06/17).
If an ARS Employer's First Report "Send C-2" has been submitted, and a SIF Determinations data file with Acknowledgement (ACK) or C-6 or C-9, or C-7, you will continue to be able to transact an ARS C-11.
If you are unable to create and submit a C-11 via ARS, you can still complete a C-11 from WCB’s website at http://www.wcb.ny.gov/content/main/forms/c11.pdf or https://www.wcb.ny.gov/onlineforms/c11/C11Form.html
These two WCB C-11 website versions require that you print and save a copy for your facility's WC records and also send a copy via email to your NYSIF case manager and to the WCB.

(December 17, 2020) - This document outlines the details for the need of Agencies to complete and Submit the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) required C-11's "Employer's Report of Injured Employee's Change in Status or Return to Work" timely.
NYSIF Announcement - First Reports by NYS Agencies
(November 10, 2020) - This document outlines the details on claimants who file a C-3 “Employee Claim” with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) rather than calling the ARS Call Center to report the details of their work-related incident. NYSIF would like to remind all agencies that it is still the responsibility of NYS agencies to report and submit incident reports as soon as they are notified of a work-related incident.
New Details for COVID-19 related ARS Incidents
(April 1, 2020) - This document explains the COVID-19 related codes that have been added to the ARS system and the appropriate use of filing an incident related to COVID-19.
NYSIF Announcement – NYSIF’s Albany Office will now manage all newly submitted losses that were once routed and managed by the State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) New York City (NYC) offices.
(December 5, 2018) - Effective 11/19/2018 (Monday) all newly submitted losses involving New York State employees which would have been managed by State Insurance Fund’s (NYSIF) New York City (NYC) offices, will be routed to and managed by NYSIF’s Albany Office. If you wish to contact the NYSIF case manager managing your case, you may go to www.nysif.com and select “Find My Case Manager”.
Additional information on the transfer of existing claims will be available from NYSIF after the first of the year (2019).
